5 structures mimic shrines created for fallen Shiite martyrs at their grave sites. The number of cabinets reference the significance of the number 5 in Islam. Each "shrine" contains small glass vials (2,100 total) filled with oil. Each vial is hand-etched with common Sunni and Shia tribal names. Referring to the on going tension in Iraq between Sunni and Shia factions and the practice of changing names to avoid being killed by the rival sect.
